Katherine Hopkins ran in a meet in Kingsport, TN on Saturday, finishing 2nd overall in the 1600 meter run. In the process of finishing 2nd by a mere .18 of a second, she set the school record in a time of 5:16.58. The old record was held by Grace Turner and had stood since 2011. Katherine is currently ranked 2nd in the state of NC for the 2A division. She also won the 3200 meter run finishing with a time of 12:05.52, which is the 7th fastest time in LHS history.
